Hello everyone, it’s good to be back in the blogosphere. Sorry that I haven’t posted anything in a while, but none-the-less, God bless and here goes. Twice within apprx. the last month, I’ve had two “interesting” experiences. Both of these experiences we’re, to be honest, frustrating. But, to be honest, they we’re probably good experiences for me, since it comes with the territory of being a minister of “grace and freedom in Christ.” One thing that I have encountered time and time again, basically from the very beginning of when I started ministering, is that some Christians are scared of freedom. In fact, these Believers that are so scared of the freedom that belongs to them in Christ, are so scared of it that most of the time when the very subject of grace is brought up, by them or me, they get very, very angry, offended, and even LOUDLY VOCAL.
But, with that being said, I would like to say that apprx. 2-3 months ago, I received a prophetic word from a great minister friend of mine, that their would be people who would start coming against me and the message of grace that I was preaching, but for me to be bold and to continue to declare the grace of God, and the awesome miracle working power of God, from the pulpit. WHEW!!! Thank God! He is so faithful! Also, I would like to say that my wife and my dad have been very helpful by encouraging me to continue to preach the uncompromised, radical grace of God. So, it helped me immensely to have received a word from the Lord that this kind of opposition would come, but for me to continue to preach His Truth with boldness. It’s very easy, especially as a minister, to get discouraged, particularly when people come against you. It’s even more frustrating, when you know that the message that you are preaching to the people is a message that will set them more free, and more victorious, then any of the dead, fruitless limbs that they have been waisting time on for years on end, and will possibly continue to waste time on, for years to come. But, Jesus did say that, “In this world you will have tribulation, but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.” Also, 1 John says, that, “this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.” So, b/c of Jesus, we have the ability to walk out a life of complete victory in this evil world, by faith. (and in a coming blog, and possibly multiple upcoming blogs, I am going to do some teaching on faith. Just so ya know, grace and faith ALWAYS work together. Regardless of what anybody tries to tell you, the truth is that neither grace nor faith will do anyone any good without the other)
But, as a minister, it’s my responsibility to continue to love people and to teach them the uncompromised truth. One thing about Jesus, He never compromised truth for the sake of unity. And neither should you and I. So, I suppose that this blog was for my own encouragement, as well as yours. The Bible says in 2 Timothy 2:1, “Thou thereofore, my son, be strong that is in the grace that is in Christ Jesus.” So, beloved, I would encourage and charge you, as well as myself, that no matter what opposition comes against you, stay strong in the grace of the Lord Jesus, for it is the only message that will bear fruit in your Christian life and walk. Also remember, as the scripture says, that “we wrestle not against flesh and blood.” When people come against you for boldly announcing the message of truth (grace), don’t allow offense to come into your heart. Of course, you’re human, so it’s normal for it to possibly bother you for a while. But no matter what, make sure to truly practice the message of grace in your own life in these situations. Grace, is of course, unmerited favor. It’s also God’s supernatural strength and power flowing through you in place of your weakness and inability. So, show these people who come against you unconditional love. And the good news with that is, that you don’t have to love them in your own strength. But, just simply by faith, you can love these people supernaturally by allowing God’s love to flow through you. Isn’t that amazing! That’s true Christianity! True Christianity isn’t trying to do “Christian stuff” in your own ability, but true Christian living is allowing Jesus to live His “zoe” life, and “agape” love through you! So, brothers and sisters, continue to embrace God’s grace in your own walk with the Lord. It will definitely bear fruit and give the results and satisfaction that you are looking for. Don’t fall by the wayside by embracing a false version of Christianity that says that all the results, blessings, and benefits of Christianity are up to you, your efforts, and your works. But, be strong in the grace of the Lord Jesus, let Him live His life through you, and enjoy the Christian life that you’ve always wanted to!
