“As a window is to the sun, so is faith to grace.”
Romans 5:2 – By whom also WE HAVE ACCESS BY FAITH INTO THIS GRACE wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.
God’s grace is always fully available to everyone, everywhere, period. Similarly, the sun shines on the good and the evil, the rich and the poor, the healthy and the sick, men and women, ect. But, if you lived in a house with no windows, then you would just have to do without any sunlight, even though, it would be totally available to you. Putting in a window would not create or produce the light, it would simply receive the already existing light. That’s what our faith does. Our faith does not create grace, and it doesn’t make grace happen, but it simply receives grace. Don’t wear yourself TRYING TO MAKE GOD DO STUFF with your faith. Your faith can’t make God do anything no more than you can make the sun shine. But, just like the sun, simply realize that God’s grace is already available and shining upon you, and since it is, all you have to do is simply let is do so. That’s called faith. Faith is simply letting grace do what grace does. Religion and self-dependent effort blocks it’s flow into your life, like covering up a window. But, faith simply let’s the light of grace shine through to you the way that it’s supposed to.
