God’s Faith In You

Hello everyone! I haven’t posted anything in a little while, and for that I apologize. Now with that out of the way, let’s begin!
Recently, the Lord has shared some wonderful things with me concerning faith. Just about every Christian who has ever lived has had some kind of a struggle with faith. These faith struggles are often the result of feeling heavy anxiety over either ignorance or misunderstanding by one incorrectly thinking that they do not have enough faith. For years preachers have perpetrated an erroneous idea that Christians could see Biblical results manifest in their lives only when they have enough faith. Their is so often an emphasis telling the Church that they need to get more faith. Regardless of how this idea is articulated, ie, “You need more faith”, or “If you only have enough faith” ect., this idea is completely wrong and has actually crippled the faith of many Believers and left them feeling stranded, helpless and feeling alienated from God and/or the blessings that He has promised them. In reality, instead of going around telling the Church that they need more faith, preachers should have been telling the Church that they have faith, and not only that they have just any ‘ol kind of faith, but that they have the very faith of God Himself! Now THAT is Good News!
The Bible has a lot to say about us as Believer’s possessing God’s faith on the inside of us. For example, Galatians 2:20 says, “I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live, yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave Himself for me.” Notice that in this verse Paul said that he “lived by the FAITH OF THE SON OF GOD…”. This is an extraordinary insight into the faith walk of the Believer. And to be honest with you, it is a rather foreign idea to most of the Church. Of course, looking at the results of most Christians, that isn’t very difficult to tell. But, it only makes sense that people aren’t getting God-like results when you consider the fact that most Christians don’t have any idea whatsoever that they are created in God’s likeness and image, and thus have God’s very faith. Many wonderful ministers who have made a mark on history, such as Smith Wigglesworth and Kenneth E. Hagin, we’re very aware of the fact that they did not merely have faith per se, but that they had God’s faith in them. Obviously, being aware of this reality helped these two men and many others to make a huge impact on this world. You see, it comes down to this: Jesus is the sole Identity of every single Believer. We have absolutely nothing and can do absolutely nothing apart from Him. Heb. 12 tells us that Jesus is “the Author and Finisher of our faith”. In other words, every single facet of our faith is completely wrapped up in Him. So the reality is that we as Believers don’t need to get more faith, but rather we have enough faith! This is truly a liberating and empowering message. Upon receiving this truth and allowing it to become a part of our innermost conscious, we will no longer have to waste massive amounts of time TRYING to conjure up enough faith to finally be able to receive something from God. Masses of people have absolutely worn themselves out playing the “faith game”. Faith isn’t a struggle. Or perhaps I should say, faith shouldn’t be a struggle. That’s not to say that their won’t ever be battles in our faith walk. The author of Hebrews did tell us that concerning our faith walk we are to “labour to enter into rest”. Paul also told us to “fight the good fight of faith”. So there is a labour and a fight in the arena of faith, but part of this labour is learning to not fight in our own ability, but to rather rest in and depend upon the faith of God inside of us. I myself am learning and growing in this area, just like many of you are and will be from here on out, and I can say that it is extremely liberating! A misunderstanding of faith can be one of the most bondage producing areas that any Believer can experience. But the truth is, the Lord doesn’t want us to live under stress, strain and despair from always feeling inadequate in the area of faith. I think that the more we come to understand that we have God’s faith in us, that the faith walk will actually become fun to us! And that is truly a foreign concept to many, many Believers.
So, in closing, just let me encourage to let this reality sink in. Spend some time meditating on the fact that you have God’s very own faith on the inside of you. And as you do, you will start getting very excited on the inside when you think about faith, and that is exactly the way that God wants it! He wants us to be excited when we think about faith. It sure would be cruel of the Lord to set things up to where we need faith to access the abundant life that He has provided for us, but to make it hard to get faith. Fortunately, our Father is not like that. His Kingdom is indeed set up to where everything operates by grace through faith, and amazingly He has done everything that needs to be done by grace and has also given us His very own faith so that we can access His amazing grace! I have some more things to share with you concerning faith that are just flat out exhilarating, but for now just enjoy the fact that no matter what situation you find yourself in, God has the faith for that situation, and that faith that He has is in you!
